Love Dare Day #5

He who blesses his friend with a loud voice early in the morning, it will be reckoned a curse to him. Proverbs 24:14

We sometimes forget to have good manners ALL the time, not just around our co-workers or acquaintances. Our families and friends usually suffer the worst of our attitudes and behavior because we seem to let down our guards around them. It is important to be Jesus all the time especially around the people who mean the most to us in our lives. Some may say, " Well, I should be able to be myself around my own family!". This somehow implies that we are not ourselves around others. We should live transparent lives, not fake ones. Our heart should reflect who we are. If we have to be fake or someone we're not around others, our hearts are not in the right place. Being fake is a turn off. People can see through fake. A genuine, loving, well-mannered spirit is one we should strive to have.

In addition to refraining from negativity, start today as you. Be real. Pray and ask God to show you any hidden unconfessed sin that may be keeping you from being all you can be for Him. The Holy Spirit that resides in us will shine through and do what we, in our carnality, can not. Be Jesus to ALL that you come in contact with, beginning with yourself. I love you all very much. Have a wonderful day!
