"Let's not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here's what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer. You have to choose to live one-eyed or else be dumped on a moral trash pile. And you have to chop off your right hand the moment you notice it raised threateningly. Better a bloody stump than your entire being discarded for good in the dump. Matthew 5:29-30

Temptation is all around us. We can not fool ourselves into thinking that we will never give in to temptation. More than likely you are dealing with an area of temptation right now.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1Peter 5:8-9

Prayer and God's word are the only way to combat temptation.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:9-11

Just as Caleb did when he smashed his computer, remove anything that is hindering your relationship with Christ, any addiction or influence that's stealing your affections and turning your heart away from Him.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
